The common issue that often comes up is that older equipment such as video players, imaging hardware and audio components typically output their signals as RGB (Red, Green, Blue and the synchronization signals HSYNC and VSYNC). These component signal frequencies are generally too “slow” for modern displays such as digital monitors and flat-screen displays.

The RGB2VGA converter does just what its name indicates, allowing these older A/V components to sync with and be used in seamless concert with your modern display screens displaying both DVI and VGA signals.
